Working Groups

Each of the Working Groups have about 12 to 15 members and are made up of a combination of Comprehensive Planning Committee members, people serving on subject-related Boards/Committees, appropriate Town staff members, citizens with particular areas of expertise as well as other interested citizens, democratically chosen from a cross section of Amherst residents.

Nine of the Working Groups mirror the 9 elements of a comprehensive Master Plan as required in Chapter 41, Section 81D of the Massachusetts General Laws:
