you are invited to attend the
PREMIERE PRESENTATION
of
the complete Amherst
MASTER PLAN DRAFT
|
After over
500 citizens participated in the IDEA GATHERINGS last
fall... And 152 residents took part in CITIZEN CHOICES
in March of this year... And 665 randomly chosen citizens
expressed in a survey exactly what they want and don’t want for Amherst’s Future
– the draft of the comprehensive Master Plan is ready but not quite finished.
Your careful review is needed to determine what, if anything, you want changed.
At this final stage, the Comprehensive Planning Committee (CPC) needs to know
what you want to better understand... what you want changed... and what specific
replacement ideas and/or wording you propose.
It is important to
realize what a comprehensive Master Plan is and isn’t. The overall goals,
objectives and strategies are guidelines. They are not strait jackets. Proposals
can be considered and enacted by the town that may not agree with the Master
Plan.
