Community Choices is an open, public, community-wide event designed to present and discuss the emerging Master Plan. Participants will have the opportunity to respond to the preliminary vision and goals. They will also provide input on a preliminary land use conceptual plan.
Once the Working Groups have distilled the ideas from the earlier community-wide meetings and shaped them into a set of prioritized proposals, Amherst citizens must democratically come together again to make some choices as a community. These decisions will give direction to the consultant team in putting together content for the Amherst Master Plan.
Community Choices provides a mid-course opportunity to receive extensive feedback from the general public, Town officials, and Town Meeting Members. This feedback will be used to further refine and improve various elements of the Master Plan, including the future land use concept.
